How to Play Baccarat

With nothing to do each hand other than making a bet on a tie, the banker or players hand, the game is effortless to play. Both the player and the dealer have no decisions to make, as the rules dictate what happens.

The objective of the casino game is to get as close to nine with your card count than the banker does..
Different from Blackjack, you can’t bust. Baccarat plays modulo 10, if the total surpasses 10 you deduct ten from the hand total so the result is no higher than 9.

To start off, the participant chooses where to bet, next both the player(s) along with the banker get 2 cards.

If the dealer or players hand hand is a total of 8 or 9 it’s referred to as a “Natural”, the hand wins and the hand is completed. If both hands receive 8 or 9, it’s a tie.

Should neither the player or dealer is dealt a ‘natural’, then the rules below determine what happens next:

The player goes first:

Players Hand: Players Required Action:
0 through 5 Takes a card
6, 7 No further cards

After the players turn is complete, what happens next depends on the players hand.

Players Hand:
0, 1 or 2 Any hand Takes a card
3 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 Takes a card
8 Stays
9 Stays
4 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 Takes a card
0, 1, 8 or 9 Stays
5 5, 6 or 7 Draw a card
0, 1, 2, 3, 8 or 9 No further cards
4 Takes a card
6 6 or 7 Draws a card
0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 or 9 No further cards
7 Anything Stay

Following the deal is complete, the hand valued closest to nine wins.
